Detail Itinerary
Day 01 Leh
Arrival
Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel. Rest in Hotel, Evening
visit to Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace After Sightseeing back to Hotel.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 02 : Leh Sightseeing
After breakfast drive for full day sightseeing, Hall of Fame, Pathar Sahib
Gurudwara, Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar & Indus River). Kali Temple, Leh
Palace, and Shanti Stupa. Evening visit to Leh Market, After back to Hotel
and overnight stay.
Day 03 :- Leh - Khardungla - Nubra
Hunder Valley (4- 5 Hrs)
After breakfast drive to Nubra valley over the Khardung la,(18300feet)
highest motor able road in the World. and Proceed to Diskit Monastery
Diskit Monastery also known as Diskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest
and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern
India.
After explores we drive toward the down Hunder past an area of rolling sand
dunes, one can see double hump Camel and visitors can take a camel safari
dunes at Hundar. Over night in Camp.
Day 04 : Hunder - Turtuk - Hunder (2 - 3 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Turtuk (which is first time opened for the tourist
in 2010) which is a place Annexed by India only after the 1971 war, the
village of Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages in India and lies right
next to the LOC. The village with the whole population of muslims still
resembles mini Pakistan. The village’s inhabitants still use traditional
utensils which are crafted from stone. Explore the village of Turtuk the
village offers views of beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. On clear
days you can have glimpse of K2 mountain peak located across the border in
Pakistan. Though a muslim village, there are few gompas located on the
plateau above Shyok River and there is a old royal house to see in village.
Return to Hundar by the evening.
Overnight stay in Camp , Hunder
Day
05: Hunder - Nubra Valley to Leh (120 Kms / 4-5 hrs)
After breakfast, visit Deskit
Monastery (Big Buddha), it is a picturesque monastery settled atop a hill
and offers an overwhelming view of Nubra Valley. Later, drive back to Leh by
same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. The afternoon is at disposal, you can
visit the Shanti Stupa by owns and click some beautiful shots of Sunset in
Leh Valley. O/N Leh.
Day 06: Leh - Pangong Lake (140 Kms / 5-6 hrs)
After early Breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) via Changla Pass
17,350 ft, this is the third highest motorable road in the world. Pangong is
the highest salt water lake in the world, shared by India and China. Enjoy
the beauty of the lake. Later at free time one can leisurely enjoy the color
changing lake of blue and green on a rusty background while the setting sun
teases you with awesome vistas which is simply breathtaking. O/N Pangong
Lake.
Day 07 : Pangong Lake - Leh (140 Kms /
5-6 hrs)
Early morning enjoy the picturesque
view of Sun rise on lake. After Breakfast drive back to Leh, enroute visit
Thikse Monastery
and Shey Palace,
here you will get a glimpse of livelihood and culture of local residents.
O/N Leh.
Day 08: Leh
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination.
Journey ends with exotic memories and stories to be related once back home.
